Announcing Run scalable, enterprise-grade generative AI workloads with Cohere Command R & R+, now available in Amazon Bedrock

In November 2023, Amazon Bedrock introduced two new Cohere models: Cohere Command Light and Cohere Embed English. Now, they're unveiling two additional models: Cohere Command R and Command R+.

Designed for real-world enterprise applications, both Command R and Command R+ are scalable large language models (LLMs) with multilingual capabilities. They excel in tasks like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and tool use, enabling enterprises to transition from proof-of-concept (POC) to production-grade AI solutions.

Command R is a scalable multilingual model focusing on RAG and tool use for production-scale AI. On the other hand, Command R+ is optimized for advanced RAG, featuring in-line citations for highly reliable and verifiable responses.

With these new models, businesses across various sectors can leverage AI to efficiently access relevant information for tasks in finance, HR, sales, marketing, customer support, and more.

To begin using Command R and Command R+ in Amazon Bedrock, users can access the models through the Bedrock console. These models support interactions in multiple languages and can be integrated programmatically using AWS CLI and SDKs.

By leveraging Amazon Bedrock's APIs, developers can interact with Command R and Command R+ to generate text responses tailored to their specific requirements, as demonstrated through Python code examples.
