Hello,
This error generally occurs when an existing Athena data catalog has not yet been migrated to a new Glue Data Catalog which you might verify through Cloudtrail if anyone within your org performed the changes.
Further, performing the following AWS CLI command on the account that housing the database, the issue can be resolved, import the catalog
aws glue import-catalog-to-glue --catalog-id <acount_id> --region us-east-1
aws glue get-catalog-import-status --catalog-id <acount_id> --region us-east-1
