Changing Platform Python version 3.6 to 3.8

Question

If Python 3.8 is not listed in the list of available platforms in the AWS Management Console, how do you update the Platform Python version from 3.6 to 3.8 on Elastic Beanstalk running on 64bit Amazon Linux/2.10.14.
using 
1) AWS CLI  & 
2) using the AWS Console )

Look at this https://docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/latest/platforms/platforms-supported.html#platforms-supported.python : Python is in the list

You can have the level that you want also via CloudFormation : see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSCloudFormation/latest/UserGuide/aws-resource-elasticbeanstalk-environment.html#cfn-elasticbeanstalk-environment-solutionstackname
