RDS spiking while updating data

Question

So I am using RDS and there is not much load in it except when we update data , I think it cant handle that much data at once so is there an option to handle that load without paying more for larger server ?

Hello.  
This is something that can be addressed for databases in general rather than RDS, but performance can be improved by writing multiple rows at once using BULK INSERT, etc.  
BULK INSERT can be executed in a single transaction, which can be faster than executing multiple regular SQL statements.  
It also reduces the amount of code written, which leads to a reduction in the burden of data preparation.

Other write and read performance may be improved by changing the RDS storage type to io2, etc.
