When you encounter an error that prevents you from creating AWS Glue crawlers with a message like "Account is denied access," this is typically an account-level issue rather than a permissions problem with your IAM role.
This is a known issue that can occur particularly with newer AWS accounts. Even if you have the appropriate IAM permissions, your AWS account itself might have restrictions that prevent it from creating Glue crawlers.
The recommended solution is to open a support ticket with AWS Support under the "Account and billing" category. This type of support request can be made free of charge, even without a paid support plan. In your ticket, explain that you're encountering an "Access Denied" error when trying to create a Glue crawler, despite having the appropriate permissions.
The AWS Support team will need to check your account and may need to manually enable or verify the account's ability to create crawlers. Several users have reported similar issues that were resolved after contacting AWS Support.
If your AWS account is managed by AWS Organizations, you should also check whether Glue operations are not denied by Service Control Policies (SCPs).
