Spot Instance interruption while CodeDeploy is running a deployment to an Auto Scaling group

Question

Using CodeDeploy for deploying to an EC2 Auto Scaling group, CodeDeploy could disable ASG'S scaling activities by setting HANDLE_PROCS=true. However, what happens if a Spot Instance is interrupted during a deployment?

According to the [documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/codedeploy/latest/userguide/troubleshooting-ec2-instances.html#troubleshooting-one-hour-timeout), if an instance is terminated during a deployment, the process times out and fails. The timeout window depends on whether the script was in between life cycle events or in the middle of one
