Why is my WP Dashboard slow after move from Dreamhost to AWS Lightsails Database?

0

I moved a client from a shared Dreamhost VPS to a Lightsails VPS with 4GB memory because they were experiencing site timeouts due to maxing out resources. I used Duplicator Pro to move as the site is a bit large. 2gb for website files and 800mb+- for the database. After the move, the backend of Wordpress has been very slow while the site's frontend seems fine. Resources seem to be doing fine on the Lightsails dash they most they've ever hit is 15% of the 4gb. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

  1. What is the part of the Wordpress backend which is slow or what do you use as a backend?.
  2. Any logs related to this slowness, you can see in the backend applications?.
  3. Is it a database that is slow and what database are you running?.

If you are using MySQL database there other things that causes the database to be slow which include orphaned data, outdated versions plugin e.t.c Please see more details in the third party blogs below:

You can also enable Slow Query Log to see which queries are taking long
