i'm trying to get www.example.com pointing to example.com in lightsail with wordpress

I have used the bncert tool to get both a redirect and an SSL certificate

However the redirect is still not working.

I've tried also using a CNAME DNS record but this also fails

Have you tried the steps listed here - https://docs.bitnami.com/aws/apps/wordpress/administration/redirect-custom-domains/

Also the last step about restarting the Apache server for the changes to take effect ?
