Gamelift anywhere doesn't work

0

Hi, we are testing Gamelift ANywhere with our Gamelift Unreal Engine plugin game. The game is working fine in managed Gamelift. Inorder for it to work with Gamelift anywhere, we have started passing Serverparameter to initSDK() method. However, we dont see any active anywhere fleet instance inside the Gamelift console. How to debug this and fix the issue? We can see the server running locally though.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Can you kindly verify and confirm if you have followed the Step 3 here:- https://docs.aws.amazon.com/gamelift/latest/developerguide/integration-testing.html#integration-testing-anywhere-fleet

Another option to streamline this is to use the GameLift Agent: https://github.com/aws/amazon-gamelift-agent You can use the exact same build as managed GameLift, and it also picks up launch config from the Anywhere fleet and starts processes based on that.

The Amazon GameLift Toolkit has scripts to set this up on an EC2 instance: https://github.com/aws/amazon-gamelift-toolkit/blob/main/development-instance-with-amazon-gamelift-anywhere-and-gamelift-agent/README.md

Moving ahead, if the issue still persists, we would require further details from your end which are non-public information, like your Fleet id, Resource ARNs, etc in order to investigate this issue further. Hence, please open a support case with AWS Premium Support using the below link and kindly share the necessary details so that we can further investigate this issue and find the root cause.
