In Amazon Lightsail, bandwidth usage is calculated independently for each individual instance, not collectively for all instances. Each Lightsail instance comes with a predefined amount of monthly data transfer allowance based on the plan you've subscribed to. If an instance exceeds its allocated bandwidth, it will start incurring additional charges for the excess usage.
So, in your example scenario with 10 Lightsail servers, each with a 2TB transfer allowance on a $5 plan, each instance is independently allocated 2TB of data transfer per month. If one instance exceeds its 2TB allowance, it will start incurring additional charges for the excess bandwidth usage. However, the excess usage on one instance will not affect the bandwidth allowance or billing of the other instances. Each instance operates within its own allocated resources and billing parameters.
To avoid unexpected charges, it's essential to monitor the bandwidth usage of each Lightsail instance regularly, especially if you have multiple instances. You can view the bandwidth usage metrics in the Lightsail console to keep track of your usage and take necessary actions to optimize or scale your instances if needed.
Hi all,
thx for your reply and i think we will upgrade one lightsail for safety.
