The AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) is a managed service (cloud) that allows you to migrate your on-premise or RDS database to an Amazon database. It doesn't require drivers or configuration changes in your database.
There are a couple of step-by-step instructions available on how to migrate an Amazon database. You can walk through these to get a better sense of how to use DMS to migrate your database to an Amazon database.
Hope this helps,

But that's what I'm saying, the step by step guide for Oracle to Postgres is for desktop version. I've set up the conversion in the cloud under "AWS DMS migration projects" rather than the desktop product, but it fails with no error message. But there's no apparent guide for using the product in the cloud. It wants access to an S3 bucket for some reason, I don't know if it expects me to put something there or what, it is opaque.
