Multi-channel audio configuration in SRT

0

Looking for some guidance in setting up multi-channel audio configuration in SRT distribution. Ingesting HD-SDI video with (4) discreet channels of audio and want to see how to distribute some of each of those audio channels to two different entry points. Not sure that I need to add any input Audio Selectors as there is Multi-channel custom mixing and routing available at each output.

I welcome any thoughts or suggestions.

To distribute multiple audio channels to multiple entry points in SRT distribution, you can follow these steps:

Set up your SRT streaming encoder to ingest the HD-SDI video with the four discrete channels of audio. Make sure that the audio channels are properly mapped and labeled.

Configure your SRT output endpoints to receive the audio channels. You can use the custom mixing and routing features to specify which audio channels should be routed to each output. Make sure that the endpoints are configured to receive the correct number of audio channels.

If necessary, you can add input Audio Selectors to the SRT streaming encoder to ensure that only the required audio channels are ingested. This can help reduce bandwidth usage and improve overall system performance.

Test your SRT distribution setup to ensure that the audio channels are being distributed correctly to each endpoint. You can use tools like Wireshark or SRT Analyzer to monitor the SRT stream and verify the audio channel distribution.

Overall, the key to setting up multi-channel audio configuration in SRT distribution is to ensure that the audio channels are properly mapped, labeled, and routed to each endpoint. By using custom mixing and routing features and input Audio Selectors, you can create a flexible and scalable SRT distribution setup that meets your specific requirements.
