How to properly delete amplify backend functions?

0

Made a mistake on my original manual configuration setup for amplify add auth. So, decided to amplify auth delete and re-run commands. However, I noticed that the original functions I set up, physically located in amplify/backend/function were not deleted along with the auth delete command.

Is it safe to go to Lambda dashboard and delete these from the console and pushing/pulling?

Yes, it is safe to delete the functions from the Lambda dashboard and push/pull the changes. However, it is important to note that before doing so, you should make sure that you have a backup of the original functions and settings in case something goes wrong. Additionally, you may want to make sure that any dependencies that the functions rely on (such as API keys or other credentials) have been removed as well.

  • So I've gone and deleted from console, and amplify pull was run to reflect changes to local, but the folders in amplify/backend/functions were not deleted. When I manually delete, it causes an error on amplify push. What is the best way to proceed?
