Moving domains from LightSail to Route 53

0

When I first started using AWS, I ran everything from LightSail. I connected a couple of domains and span up some instances as I learned how it worked. As I became more familiar, I started migrating into more relevant services, such as the instances into EC2 and imported the remaining company domains into Route 53.

I now want to move the domains I initially imported to LightSail into Route 53, but can't find the way to do it. I've found plenty of Help articles on migrating from an external provider into Route 53, but nothing for AWS internal moves into Route 53.

Have I missed something obvious?

Its pretty much the same Process

  1. Create your new public hosted zone in route53
  2. Create/copy your records across to the zone in step 1
  3. Update name servers in the registrar for your domain to match the NS 4 x Records from step 1
