Hi, it seems possible to modify a reservation and / or even obtain a refund if you open a Support ticket and explain your mistake. AWS Support understands that such errors are possible and does its best to fix them.

Hi, Thank you for your help. I just opened a support ticket, but still haven't heard back. hoping i have a solution
