I want to resolve the private marketplace eligibility error I receive when I access models on Amazon Bedrock.
Resolution
You receive the private marketplace eligibility error for one of the following reasons:
- Your AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) user or role isn't associated with a private marketplace experience.
- You haven't created a private marketplace experience for Amazon Bedrock products.
Verify that you have the necessary permissions to access the private marketplace
To check that your IAM user or role has the necessary permissions, complete the following steps:
- Log in to the private marketplace service. If you have the necessary permissions, then you can access and modify the contents of the portal.
- In the navigation panel, choose Experiences to see the active experiences associated with your account.
- Verify that your IAM user or role is associated with the appropriate private marketplace experience.
Note: Private marketplace experiences can be associated with the entire organization, specific organization units (OUs), or specific accounts.
- If you don't have the necessary permissions to access the private marketplace and add products, then contact your administrator.
Create a private marketplace experience for Amazon Bedrock products
Complete the following steps:
- Create a private marketplace experience.
- Manage the audience for your private marketplace.
- Add products, offerings, or models, such as Anthropic Claude, to the private marketplace experience.
- Change your private marketplace status to Live.
After the products are added to the marketplace and the marketplace is live, access the model from the AWS Bedrock console.
