How do I resolve an issue with CAPTCHA when I to sign in to my AWS account?

I can't complete the CAPTCHA when I sign in to an existing AWS account or activate a new account.

Resolution

Before you sign in, take the following actions:

  • Use a different internet browser.
  • If you use a mobile device, then use a desktop browser instead.
  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
  • Turn off your browser extensions.
  • Wait 15 minutes, and then try to sign in again.

If you can't sign in after you complete the preceding actions, then contact AWS Customer Service.

To contact AWS Customer Service, complete the following steps:

  1. Open General Support for Account or Billing.
  2. Enter the email address associated with your AWS account, and then describe the CAPTCHA issue in the second field.
  3. Select Continue.
  4. Review the personalized recommendations, and then select Continue as guest.
  5. Fill out the required fields. If you know your AWS account ID number, then enter the number in Account ID.
  6. Select Create a case. A support agent will contact you through the email address you supplied.

Can anyone advise how to go about this issue? When calling the above number they would not help with any AWS account issues.

I am trying to open an AWS account so I can't open a support case either as AWS first will require me to finish confirming my identity which fails at this step every time.

apparently I have the same problem as the guy from 3 months ago

The fact that you don't solve such a trivial problem, wanting us to go through all this hassle, doesn't make this platform at all attractive.
