How do I change the email address that's associated with my AWS account?
I want to change the email address that's associated with my AWS account root user.
Resolution
To update the email address for your AWS account's root user, first check if your account uses AWS Organizations.
Important: You can't update the root user email address to one that's already in use on another Amazon.com or AWS account. It's a best practice to use a group email access for root user credentials.
If your Amazon.com retail and AWS accounts share the same login information, then updating the email address for one account also changes the other account.
Accounts that use AWS Organizations
For accounts that are part of an AWS Organization, use the Organizations console to update the root user email address.
Accounts that don't use AWS Organizations
You must sign in as the account's current root user in order to change the root user email.
To update your root email address, complete the steps in Update the AWS account name, email address, or password for the root user.

Any update? How am I supposed to change it when you just change my Amazon email anyway?
For accounts that are linked to an Organization; The Organization administrators can update the e-mail address on linked accounts (as of June 2024) explained in https://docs.aws.amazon.com/organizations/latest/userguide/orgs_manage_accounts_update_primary_email.html
"Note: You can't use an email address that's already in use on another Amazon.com or AWS account." So, how to update an organization's email account when the new account owner already has an AWS account?
