How long does it take to import data from my Snowball Edge device to AWS?

Resolution

After AWS receives your Snowball Edge device, the data import process begins within 1 business day and includes security checks and device verification. The total data import time depends on your total data volume, number of files, and individual file sizes.

Note: AWS doesn't provide service level agreements (SLAs) for import duration. Expect the data import to AWS to take approximately the same amount of time as your initial data transfer to your Snowball Edge device.

Check your data import status

Complete the following steps:

1. Open the AWS Snow Family Management Console.
2. Choose the AWS Region where you created your Snowball Edge job.
3. In the search bar, enter your job ID, and then select your job.
4. Review the status in Job status.
