What is a selection in re:Post?

On AWS re:Post, a selection is a learning path or a curated set of content assets that are relevant to a use case, technology domain, industry, or specific problem area. It is a collection of knowledge assets specific to a customer's use case within AWS services and contain high-quality content from AWS sources, such as re:Post, Knowledge Center, AWS Blogs, and AWS Documentation.

How do I get started?

  1. Identify a targeted and specific AWS technical use case that is a common ask from your customers. Examples: How do I get started with the cloud, how do I migrate my on-prem workloads to the cloud, how do I troubleshoot common S3 errors. These use cases can be tied to any step in a customer's cloud journey, such as learn, design, build, deploy, and operate.
  2. Review different AWS content properties, including but not limited to AWS Documentation, AWS Blogs, AWS Prescriptive Guidance, AWS re:Post Questions, Knowledge Center, AWS training resources, and videos. Narrow down to the resources that offer high-quality information and guidance on the use case. Make sure that you pick the resources with accurate and current information. Make a list of these resources to create a content set that you will further curate.
  3. Group the content set into a few sections based on relevance and context. For example, if you are creating a selection on troubleshooting an error code, you can choose to divide the content set for this topic based on the root causes for this error. Categorizing assets into coherent sections improves the readability and ease of use of the selection.
  4. Create a selection in AWS re:Post.
