"errorMessage": "Unknown service: 'datazone'

Question

I am trying to interact with datazone through API:

client = boto3.client('datazone')

But it is throwing error - "errorMessage": "Unknown service: 'datazone'. I am running it in lambda function in US-EAST-1. Please do let me know what is the root cause for the same.

The error indicates that Boto3 does not acknowledge "datazone" as a valid service name. This issue likely stems from using an outdated version of Boto3. Given that the DataZone services were first released on **March 29, 2023**, you need to ensure your Boto3 installation is updated to at least version `1.34.57`.

The inclusion of DataZone into Boto3 is documented in the changelog found here: https://github.com/boto/boto3/blob/develop/CHANGELOG.rst#L1205-L1212. To ensure compatibility, please verify that your Boto3 installation is updated to version `1.28.60` or later.
