That is interesting. Automatic snapshots should happen hourly and if they are not happening, then
I can think of two possible causes -
- Check to see if any of your team member requested to disable the daily automatic snapshot by opening a support case with AWS
- If your cluster enters red status, all automated snapshots fail while the cluster status persists. If you don't correct the problem within two weeks, you can permanently lose the data in your cluster.
