Sqs SDK throws naming format error when using .fifo extension on a FIFO message queue

I am getting the following error thrown when trying to use the Aws Sqs package in C#:

Amazon.SQS.AmazonSQSException: Can only include alphanumeric characters, hyphens, or underscores. 1 to 80 in length

This is because my queue is named samples_receive_test_queue.fifo

The .fifo extension is required when creating a message with the type FIFO. 
I need a message queue of type FIFO so I do not receive duplicate messages when running my application with multiple containers.

Is there a fix for this? Or a work around? The two rules contradict each other.

I tried to create a FIFO queue with the name "samples_receive_test_queue.fifo" from the AWS Management Console and I was successfully able to create the .fifo queue

Further, I tried to check the GitHub issues with AWS SDK for C#, but was unable to find any issues regarding the same.

So to further troubleshoot the issue, I would request you to kindly check the CloudTrail logs for the failed request to understand the complete error/exception thrown. I would request you to kindly reach out to the AWS Support with the complete error message and request-id to further investigate the issue with the details provided.
