Download images from ECR using cognito authn

Question

Hello
I have containerized application running on bare-metal machine (remote, not in cloud)

The application communicate using Cognito client credentials flow (get access token using key & secret)

There is way to pull images from ECR using Cognito access token?
Maybe put a Lambda in the middle that get the token, authorize it and download with injected-predefined username & password?

Answer

You can pull private images with Cognito and ECR by using the ECR Credential Helper to configure authn for users in pools or through federated identities.
