Hi wimate. I would guess the problem is with the IAM role that should allow s3:PutObject. But that's just a guess.
Do you have logging enabled? https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot/latest/developerguide/configure-logging.html. If so, check for rule log entries: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot/latest/developerguide/cwl-format.html#rule-engine-logs. You may find an error logged there.
Alternatively, you may setup an error action for the rule to get more insight into what's going wrong: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot/latest/developerguide/rule-error-handling.html
