Even though I created a global IAM role with both "AmazonS3FullAccess" and "AWSGlueServiceRole" policies, I am still unable to select the role from the dropdown menu when creating a Data Pipeline.

Please refer to the link to create a pipeline role: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/datapipeline/latest/DeveloperGuide/dp-iam-roles.html.
Ensure that the trust relationship Principal of pipeline role is data pipeline service.
Under Select your use case in the console, do one of the following:
- Choose Data Pipeline to create a pipeline role.
