In Cloudwatch RUM what are the percentage change numbers for Page Loads, Load Time & Errors relative to?

Question

In the RUM overview page & performance tab in list view, it shows several metrics with a % change, but unless I'm missing something obvious, it's not clear what that % is relative to?

You can select the time period at the top right - 1h, 3h, etc & it will show the absolute numbers for that time period, but I don't understand what the % change is relative to (the previous 1hr, previous 3hr etc?).  It doesn't seem to be documented anywhere that I can find.
