Compute savings expired last month

Question

If my compute savings plan got expired on last month and now i want to waive off the amount charged on demand on running EC2. Will purchase savings plan this month will help me anyhow ?

As waive off kind of things are taken care by Finance team of AWS. So we can raise a support case to AWS using root credential and they will get back on this with best solution

You can sign up for Compute Savings Plan, your compute usage will automatically be charged at the discounted Savings Plans prices. While purchasing you mention Set the start date and time (UTC) for your Savings Plan which indicates when savings plan will be in effect. This can be for same date. Please note you cannot  purchase savings plan for past date.
