Hi you can find the PII information in the Findings Section on Amazon Macie console.

To locate sensitive data through JSON format : https://docs.aws.amazon.com/macie/latest/user/findings-locate-sd.html#findings-locate-sd-schema
Thanks for getting back ... I have checked .. but I do not see the "export-config-not-set" bucket in my account ... Is there anything else I can do to locate the bucket ? Thanks --osman
One way to find the bucket name is through the Settings tab in Macie console. Goto Amazon Macie -> Settings -> Discovery results -> Repository for sensitive data discovery results.
I reproduced this JSON in my local account and it shows the bucket that was scanned and number of counts of PII in those objects.
If you are using AWS CLI please use : https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cli/latest/reference/macie2/get-classification-export-configuration.html API to get the bucket information where the results are stored.

Thanks for the information.. I have already generated a Json file and exported it ... But it does not tell me where the location of pii data is ... Only have the "detailedResultsLocation" entry as mentioned above ... and I do not know how to access the .gz file ..
The file will be placed in the s3 bucket in your account. You can download this .gz file from there and unzip it on your local machine. Are you having any access issues to that object?
Or are you not seeing this bucket at all in your account?
