Password Expired

0

Greetings,

I am new to AWS EC2 and the forum. I recently created an instance and logged in but its been a few weeks and was unable to log back in. I was unable do to a dialog box that popped up saying that the password expired. I tried creating a new instance. No luck. I tried to run the AWSSupport-ResetAccess and it seemed to have executed successfully but I went back to my instance and I get the same error. It is impossible and so it seems I will not be able to use my free trial. Thanks in advance.

I resolved my issue in the short term. I will update if I can find out what settings to modify on BitDefender.

  1. Turned off Bit defender. This stopped the "password expired" dialog. But a new issue arose...

"Login attempt failed". I wasn't sure why this was happening because I know the credentials were right.

  1. I had to explicitly type "domain\user" in the user dialog after selecting "More Options" despite the exact same user\domain being listed as the default.
