Hi,
See this very recent announcement that we made for PostgreSQL that you can choose as a replacement for DB2 on z/OS: https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2023/11/amazon-aurora-limitless-database/
Today, AWS announces Amazon Aurora Limitless Database, which enables you to scale
your Amazon Aurora clusters to millions of write transactions per second and manage
petabytes of data. With this new capability, you can scale your relational database workloads
on Aurora beyond the limits of a single Aurora writer instance without needing to create
custom application logic or manage multiple databases.
Re. pervasive encryption:
- at rest: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/AuroraUserGuide/Overview.Encryption.html
- in transit: AWS uses TLS encryption across services
- in use: we propose confidential enclaves: https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/nitro/nitro-enclaves/
I work in the AWS Mainframe Modernization service team. See https://aws.amazon.com/mainframe-modernization/ So, feel free to get in touch for more details.
Happy to continue the discussion
Didier
