Hi,
Yes, you can directly use the AWS Cloud WAN segment service while retaining the existing AWS transit gateways. This method can be called Federation.
The reference steps are as follows:
1/ Build AWS Cloud WAN - Global Networks and Core network
2/ Create segments within Policy
3/ Establish peering with the existing transit gateway and AWS Cloud WAN
4/ Create attachment for transit gateway route table
5/ Connect the above attachments to the corresponding segments through tags
