AWS Work Mail Primary email ID

0

I understand AWS charge for per email ID and we can have multiple Aliases (email IDs) under the same. My question is I have set a primary email ID primary@example.com and alias is alias@example.com. I set up both the IDs under same inbox with my email client (thunderbird). The problem is when I am sending mails then by default it is going from primary email ID, which I do not want. I should be allowed to send from either of email ID. There is no issue with incoming email.

Hi,

At the moment WorkMail offers send as alias only in the WebMail client and Windows Outlook. Its not available yet for SMTP or EWS clients like Mac Outlook.

Kind regards, Robin

  • I tried webmail and thunderbird both are sending mails throe primary email ID only. In Thunderbird sent mail folder shows from Alias but receiver always get from primary email ID

  • Hi,

Using WebMail you can enter the alias in the From and it will send the email with the Alias in the From. Using Thunderbird its not possible to send as alias.

    Kind regards, Robin
