ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR with alternative CNAME on CloudFront Distribution

When accessing my domain it is producing this error whilst trying to access a custom domain that is set up on cloudfront: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

It only occurs through HTTPS, HTTP works fine even though the SSL certificate is set up on ACM. I've also restricted user access and added a public key as I believed this was what would fix my problem of the HTTPS connection not working.

How would I solve this? I'm honestly out of options on what could be causing this issue.
