When you encounter the error 'Your account must be verified before you can add new CloudFront resources,' this typically indicates that your AWS account requires additional verification before CloudFront can be enabled, even if other AWS services are working normally. Each AWS service may have its own verification requirements, so having active resources in other services doesn't automatically grant access to CloudFront.
To resolve this issue, you should add correspondence to your existing support case through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. In your update, confirm that your account details and payment information are current and accurate. The support team will need to complete the verification process for CloudFront access.
If you haven't received a response within your expected timeframe, you can add another update to your case through the Support Center. You might also consider reviewing your AWS Support plan options, as higher-tier plans typically offer faster response times for cases like these.
Once the verification is complete, you should be able to create CloudFront distributions without encountering this error.
Just sharing my case ID in case it can be picked up by a Community Manager, Support, or an engineer: Case ID: 178853331500632. Has been a while since the case was submitted.
