Account Restricted: Unable to subscribe to Amazon Q Developer Pro (Case ID: ***************)

0

Hello AWS re:Post Team & Community,

I am attempting to subscribe/assign a user to Amazon Q Developer Pro, but I keep receiving the error: "Failed to create Kiro subscription for 1 user. Your account is not authorized to make this call."

I currently have an open support ticket (Case ID: *************** / *************** ). This restriction is a critical blocker for our project deployment schedule.

Could an AWS moderator please help flag or escalate this case to the internal Service Team for urgent review?

Thank you!

The error message you're encountering suggests there may be a permissions or account authorization issue preventing you from subscribing users to Amazon Q Developer Pro. Here are several areas to check:

First, verify that you have the minimum required permissions to subscribe users. You'll need specific IAM permissions to access and use the Amazon Q Developer console for user subscription.

Next, confirm that you're working in the Amazon Q Developer console specifically, rather than the general Amazon Q console, as these are separate interfaces.

Also check that you're operating in a supported AWS Region for Amazon Q Developer, as the service isn't available in all regions.

Finally, ensure you're following the correct subscription workflow for your account type - the process differs depending on whether you're using a standalone account, management account, or member account within an organization.

For your existing support case, you can add additional correspondence or updates directly through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. If you need faster response times for critical issues, you may also want to review your AWS Support plan options to see if a different tier would better meet your needs.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your subscription issue.

We're unable to discuss any account-specific info here, but I've reviewed and flagged your cases internally with our Support team. Our cases are handled in the order received and response times vary, depending on our volumes. A support agent will respond as soon as possible.
