Hello,
While I don't have access to your specific Amazon Bedrock account details, there are a few things that could cause the error message you described when trying to add Claude 2:
- Check that your AWS account is configured to use us-east-1 as its default region. Some foundation models on Bedrock may only be available in certain regions.
- Verify your AWS account meets the eligibility requirements for the foundation model you're trying to add. Some models have restrictions around the type of AWS account (e.g. personal vs. organizational) or country of registration.
- Make sure the IAM user or role you're using to access Bedrock has the necessary permissions. It needs bedrock:AddFoundationModel permissions at minimum.
- As a troubleshooting step, try adding a different available model like Amazon's own models to see if the issue is specific to Claude 2.
Thanks
