Unable to release Elastic IP due to rDNS.

0

Hello, we cannot release the Elastic IP 52.5.1.240 due to rDNS being set up. Unfortunately we did not recall this until after the instance was removed, and we do not meet the criteria in order to submit this request to the support team. We tried reaching out to the account team and was provided with the email sending limit removal form. The form was submitted 7 days ago and the Elastic IP still cannot be removed.

52.5.1.240: The address with allocation id [eipalloc-b5b788d0] cannot be released because it is locked to your account. Please contact AWS Support to unlock it.

Is there any way we can get rDNS removed so we can release the IP?

Thank you for your time.

Thank you for the reply. As mentioned in the original post, the form (https://aws.amazon.com/forms/ec2-email-limit-rdns-request) was already submitted on March 1st. We have received no reply after submitting the form on March 1st and still cannot release the Elastic IP.

I re-submitted the form yesterday and it looks like someone took care of it as I was able to release the Elastic IP today. Thank you.
