Adding SES MX and TXT to DNS zone 'managed' in Lightsail

0

SOLVED: Inside of SES - is a button <Add Records to Route53>. Button doesn't stand out - didn't see it. I created a wordpress domain in Lightsail, with managed domain (DNS zone created and nameservers added). Domain has been verified, the website is working. Now I can only manage domain in Lightsail (not domain host). I'm setting up SES for email. To connect SES to Lightsail, I need to add MXT and TX to DNS zone. For Lightsail > Domains & DNS > DNS Records > Edit Record, the only option in dropdown is for adding an 'A Record'. Where/how can I add the MX and TXT records?

Normally, these options should be available in the dropdown menu when you're editing DNS records for your domain. Could you please provide a screenshot of the section where you're attempting to add the MX and TXT records? For troubleshooting, I recommend following this guide on adding DNS records in Lightsail. Additionally, you might find it helpful to consult this guide on enabling email for your WordPress instance in Lightsail.

NOTE: While these steps may not directly resolve your issue, they could help you identify the underlying cause.

When you register a domain in Lightsail, a HostZone is added to Route53, and you can manage the domain in Route53 as well.

MX and TXT records should be set directly using Route53.
