Support case id: **************** unassigned for 25+ days - $383 refund request for unused QuickSight/Amazon Q charges

-3

My support case (ID: ***************) has now been unassigned for over 25 days with zero response. I was charged $287.66 in May 2026 and charges for June 2026 have now reached $95.46 and continue to grow daily, all for Amazon Q in QuickSight, which I never used — no dashboards, no topics, no queries created at any point. The free trial ended and auto-billed without clear notice. I have already taken every possible action on my end: disabled all Amazon Q toggles, downgraded from Admin Pro to Admin, and deleted the QuickSight account entirely to stop further charges. I am a student and this amount is a genuine financial hardship for me. I have posted here before with no resolution. Could someone from the AWS team please look into this and assign my case? I would deeply appreciate any help. Thank you.

Edit: Removed case ID — Sage A.

I understand how frustrating it is to wait for a response on your support case, especially when unexpected charges are involved and causing financial strain. However, I'm not able to access, review, or escalate individual support cases from this channel.

To add new information or follow up on your existing case, please log into the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. From there, you can add correspondence directly to your case, which will help ensure your support engineer sees your latest details about the charges and the steps you've already taken.

Regarding the charges themselves: Amazon QuickSight pricing is based on the edition and user types you have active. If Amazon Q in QuickSight was enabled during your subscription period, charges would apply according to the pricing model for your plan, even without active usage like creating dashboards or queries. The actions you've taken—disabling Amazon Q features, downgrading your subscription, and ultimately deleting your QuickSight account—are the correct steps to prevent future charges.

For billing concerns and refund requests, AWS evaluates these on a case-by-case basis through the support case process. If you feel response times have been longer than expected, you may also want to review your current AWS Support plan. Different support tiers offer varying response time commitments, and upgrading your plan could provide faster access to support resources if needed in the future.

I know this isn't the immediate resolution you're hoping for, but the Support Center is the most direct path to have your case reviewed and addressed by the team handling billing matters.
