Domain Transfer to Amazon from Godaddy

0

Hello Guys!

  • 8 days ago I did a transfer of my domain (inspiriosity.com) hosted on godaddy to amazon.
  • on Tuesday, I receive a email from amazon that my transfer was completed.
  • On route 53 I have experimented some issues when I created subdomains records (my subdomains does not work).

After check whois I noticed my DNS servers still pointed to Godaddy servers: NS53.DOMAINCONTROL.COM (has 60,799,999 domains) NS54.DOMAINCONTROL.COM (has 60,799,999 domains)

In my Route 53 console shows NS from amazon. NS Route 53.

Anyone has a tip how can I solve that?

Thank you!

Hi,

Yes, your domain is still served by Godaddy domaincontrol servers:

nslookup inspiriosity.com
Server:		192.168.1.1
Address:	192.168.1.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:	inspiriosity.com
Address: 3.33.152.147
Name:	inspiriosity.com
Address: 15.197.142.173

didduran@88665a3d6449 ~ % nslookup -type=ns inspiriosity.com
Server:		192.168.1.1
Address:	192.168.1.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
inspiriosity.com	nameserver = ns54.domaincontrol.com.
inspiriosity.com	nameserver = ns53.domaincontrol.com.

Authoritative answers can be found from:
ns54.domaincontrol.com	internet address = 173.201.74.27
ns53.domaincontrol.com	internet address = 97.74.106.27
ns54.domaincontrol.com	has AAAA address 2603:5:22a2::1b
ns53.domaincontrol.com	has AAAA address 2603:5:21a2::1b

You should follow this procedure https://odalabasmaz.medium.com/how-to-transfer-your-domains-from-godaddy-to-amazon-route-53-1e3486beeee8

In particular, read what comes with section 'Request transfer over AWS Route 53' and after.

Best,

Didier

Hi Didier, I have already done that, thank you.

After check out route 53 settings again I found out where I can update the server names. Route 53 > Registered domains > mydomain name > Actions > edit name servers.

Now I am waiting the 24/48 hours to propagate.

Thank you!
