Adding custom partition to AWS ParallelCluster

We have multiple on premise nodes which we would like to add to our AWS ParallelCluster in a custom partition. However, we are not sure how to configure the nodes and the HeadNode to work together. The compute nodes can find the HeadNode via IP and hostname and the HeadNode can find the compute nodes via IP and hostname. Is there a way to configure it via CustomSlurmSettingsIncludeFile? We tried multiple configurations but all seems to fail.

We do not formally support adding on premise nodes to a cluster, so I would recommend reaching out to an AWS solutions architect.
