Not Able to use an AWS service

-3

I completed my AWS account registration more than 3 days ago. I can successfully log in to the AWS Console, and my account shows an active Free Plan with $100 credits and an assigned Account ID.

However, whenever I try to access any AWS service such as S3, EC2, or IAM, I am redirected to the "Complete your account setup" page. The issue is not limited to a single service and occurs across multiple AWS services.

I have already completed the registration process, added a payment method, and can access the AWS Console normally. The problem appears to be that service access has not been fully provisioned for my account.

Hi,

Sorry for the continued concern. We're limited in what we can discuss via this platform related to your case or account. If you haven't already, reach out directly to our Account & Billing team via our Support Center: go.aws/support-center.

If you no longer have access to our Support Center, use this form:go.aws/account-support . No login needed.

Based on your description, it sounds like your AWS account may still be in the process of being fully activated, even though you can log into the console. This is a known situation that can occur with new AWS accounts.

Here are the key things to understand and steps to take:

Account Activation Timeline: New AWS accounts can take up to 24 hours to be fully activated after completing the signup process, though it's usually faster. In some cases, particularly if additional verification is required, it may take longer than the typical timeframe.

What You Should Do:

  1. Check your email - Look for any messages from AWS regarding your account activation or requests for additional information. Check both your inbox and spam/junk folders.

  2. Verify payment method - Even though you mentioned adding a payment method, double-check that it was successfully verified. AWS needs to validate your payment information before granting full service access.

  3. Contact AWS Support - Since it's been more than 3 days and you're still experiencing this issue, this is beyond the normal activation period. You should contact AWS Support directly for assistance. Even with a Free Tier account, you have access to Account and Billing Support at no charge. They can investigate why your account hasn't been fully provisioned and resolve any blocks on service access.

  4. Check for pending verification - Sometimes AWS may require additional identity or payment verification before granting full access to services. AWS Support can clarify if there are any pending requirements.

The fact that you're being redirected to the "Complete your account setup" page across multiple services suggests there's a provisioning or verification step that hasn't been completed on the backend, which AWS Support will need to resolve for you.

  • I have checked multiple times, and I have got no mails from AWS other than : "We were able to complete customer verification based on the information you submitted for your AWS account. No further action is required at your end."

  • I have even raised a case 2 days ago.... But till date, no one assigned to look into my case....

  • This is not a support queue. No one in this public Q&A forum will be doing anything to move your case in front of the other patient users and the users that know what they are doing.
