AWS account suspended - Verification documents submitted 4 days ago - Support case still Unassigned

1

Hello AWS team,

I am looking for guidance regarding my suspended AWS account.

My account was suspended pending identity and payment verification.

I submitted all requested verification documents four days ago through AWS Support, including:

  • Government-issued ID
  • Payment card confirmation
  • Bank account statement
  • Account confirmation

I received confirmation that the documents were successfully submitted.

My original support case has now been in the "Unassigned" state for four days, and I have also opened a follow-up case requesting escalation.

Unfortunately, I have not received any response from the Account Verification team, and my AWS account remains suspended.

Could an AWS representative please advise if there is any way to have the verification reviewed or escalated?

I understand that the community cannot access my account, but I would greatly appreciate if an AWS employee could review this situation or point me to the appropriate team.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

I'm so sorry for the concern the delay in verification has caused you. I've passed this along to our internal teams. Keep an eye on your case for updates.

I understand how frustrating it is to have your AWS account suspended while waiting for verification review. Account verification cases are handled by a specialized team that reviews submitted documentation carefully to ensure account security and compliance.

While verification reviews can sometimes take several business days depending on the complexity and volume of cases, here are the recommended steps:

First, continue monitoring your existing support case through the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. The verification team will respond directly through your open case once they complete their review. Adding any additional context or correspondence to your existing case may be more effective than opening multiple cases, as it keeps all information consolidated for the reviewing team.

If you haven't already, ensure that all submitted documents are clear, legible, and match the information on your AWS account exactly. Any discrepancies in names, addresses, or other details can delay the verification process.

The verification team works through cases systematically, and while the wait can be difficult, they will review your submission. If you need faster response times for future support needs, you may want to review your AWS Support plan options, as different support tiers offer different response time commitments.

Unfortunately, there isn't a separate channel to expedite account verification reviews beyond the support case system you're already using. The best course of action is to continue working through your open case in the AWS Support Center, where the verification team will provide updates as they progress through their review.

  • Thank you for your reply. I understand the normal verification process, but my concern is that my support case has remained "Unassigned" for four days, despite all requested documents being successfully submitted and acknowledged. Could an AWS employee or moderator please confirm whether this is normal, or help escalate the case to the Account Verification team? Case ID: ***************
