Glue Studio Output schema

Question

Hello. I'm working with glue studio. I'm having a hard time to get output schema from the steps. I'm trying to use the Data Preview to be able to see the schema but since the data is too big, I got a timeout error. How can I get the output schema at a faster way?

Firstly, in general you can get the output schema faster if your source schema is present in data catalog. Having said so please note that output schemas are not very accurate if you have nested fields in your schema.

Secondly, the only work around to prevent timeout during “Data Preview” option is to work with a smaller subset of data during development.

Lastly, if the issue persists please consider raising a case with support to look at the specificities of the use-case in question here.
