Service Catalog Provisioned product stuck in `Under change`

I have set up the Terraform provisioning engine for the service catalog https://github.com/aws-samples/service-catalog-engine-for-terraform-os/ . However, it seems my parameter ServiceCatalogEndpoint caused a problem as when I provisioned a product it failed and it was unable to send the failure back to service catalog. Now we are stuck in an Under change status for hours.

I have tried to aws servicecatalog terminate-provisioned-product but that states its still under change. I then added --ignore-errors, and this, in return, stated, IgnoreErrors is not supported for provisioned product type EXTERNAL.

How can I get this provisioned product to a state where I can terminate/delete it?
