Request for Increase in Static IP Limit for Lightsail

0

Dear AWS Support,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request an increase in the number of static IP addresses available for Lightsail in my account.

Currently, I have reached the limit of static IPs allowed per region, and I require additional static IPs to support my expanding infrastructure needs. Could you please increase the static IP limit for my account in the Seoul, all zones (ap-northeast-2) region?

  • account ID : 922661205793
  • Account name : jenny

Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support.

Sincerely, Jihye.

I apologize, but I cannot directly process or approve requests for service limit increases. However, I can provide you with information about static IP addresses in Amazon Lightsail and guide you on how to proceed with your request.

Static IP addresses in Lightsail are fixed public IP addresses that you can assign to your Lightsail resources. They are important because they allow you to maintain a consistent public IP address even if you stop or restart your instance. Without a static IP, your instance would receive a new public IP address each time it restarts.

To request an increase in the static IP limit for your account in the Seoul (ap-northeast-2) region, you should follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the AWS Management Console.
  2. Navigate to the AWS Support Center.
  3. Click on "Create case."
  4. Select "Service limit increase" as the case type.
  5. Choose "Lightsail" as the service.
  6. Select "Static IP addresses" as the limit type.
  7. Choose the "Asia Pacific (Seoul)" region.
  8. Provide details about your use case and the number of additional static IPs you require.
  9. Submit the case.

AWS Support will review your request and respond to you directly. They may ask for additional information about your use case to better understand your needs.

Please note that while AWS tries to accommodate customer needs, there's no guarantee that all limit increase requests will be approved. The decision will depend on various factors, including your account status and the specific requirements of your use case.

In the meantime, if you have any unused static IPs in your account, you can release them using the ReleaseStaticIp action to free up some of your current allocation. Remember that once released, a static IP address is no longer associated with your account and will be unavailable for future use.
