Decommissioning Control Tower and closing all accounts.

Question

Hi I have a test AWS Organisation which was created using Control Tower. Some account were created by account factory and some were standalone accounts which were invited to join the org.
I now what to completely close  and delete all accounts, including the master account. 
Using Organisations I have closed some of the accounts, which now show as suspended. 
I'm wondering now how I should proceed. Do I decommission Control Tower, then close the shared accounts in Organisations?
When an account is closed in Organisations is it removed fro the Org and completely closed/deleted?

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

This will walk you through all of the steps needed to decomission resources and accounts that were created during your testing process.  There are several links within the cleanup section that will provide more detail such as Decommissioning CT LZ etc.

Finally you'll get to the section of closing AWS accounts.
