AWS account suspended for identity verification, documents submitted on September 8, no response

0

Hello, My AWS account was placed on hold pending identity verification. I uploaded all requested documents through the secure AWS upload link on September 8, 2026, and received confirmation that all 3 files were successfully received.

Since then, I have not received any further update, and my account remains restricted. I have no outstanding invoices or payments due.

I have an Account Verification support case open, but there has been no response from the verification team.

Could an AWS moderator please help escalate this to the Account Verification team and confirm whether any additional document is required?

This is affecting active production infrastructure, and I can provide any additional information immediately.

Thank you.

  • Still no response from Support or Account Verification team as of September 14. Could an AWS Support moderator please help escalate this internally?

  • Still no response as of September 19, 11 days after AWS confirmed receipt of all requested verification documents. My Support case also has no response. Could an AWS Support moderator please take internal action and escalate this to the Account Verification team?

I understand how concerning it is to have your account on hold, especially when it affects production infrastructure. Account verification reviews are handled by a specialized team that works through submissions in the order they're received. While I cannot directly escalate your case or provide specific timelines, here's what you should do:

Continue monitoring your existing case in the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. You can add correspondence there to check on the status or provide any additional information the verification team might need. Make sure to check both your email and the Support Center regularly for any requests from the team.

The verification process can take time as the team carefully reviews all submitted documentation to ensure account security. If you haven't heard back and it's been several business days, adding a note to your existing case asking for a status update is appropriate.

If you need faster response times for future support needs, you may want to review your AWS Support plan options, as higher-tier plans offer quicker response times for various issue types.

The verification team will reach out through your case if they need any additional documentation or information. In the meantime, ensure that the contact information on your account is current so you don't miss any communications.
