Shared AMI based on Debian 10 AMI shows as a Debian 9 Instance

0

The original EC2 instance has the following "AMI location": aws-marketplace/debian-10-amd64-20220328-962-b737a64d-81d4-4b8c-92c0-25161dfcb706

An AMI was created from this EC2 instance. After sharing with another account the shared AMI will not launch because its Marketplace ID is seen as a Debian 9 AMI (nor supported).

How is this possible? Is there a known fix or workaround?

Thanks, Mark
